Egghead Soques®

The Egghead Soques® brand product focus is hair apparel and accessories.  Our caps are universal and designed for any hair thickness, texture, type and length. No one is excluded.  There is a single patented design. The idea came out of a personal need.  A proper fitting swim cap became an issue when I began taking aquatic classes.  My hair is naturally kinky and styled in locs.  The traditional swim cap became useless after about six months because it couldn’t contain my volume of hair and I didn’t want my hair exposed to the chlorine in the pool.

I had dealt with this same issue over twenty years earlier when my daughter was taking swim lessons.  She spent one hour in the pool and then there was two hours of washing chlorine out of her hair and combing it.  Once my daughter became a proficient swimmer and joined a swim team we went through this labor intensive process multiple times a week.  This time I decided to develop my own product, the neoprene Swim Soque™.

We have reorganized our website into collections, rebranding familiar products and adding new ones.  Our objective remains to bring our customers quality, comfortable and durable products.  We’ve been working diligently, for the past three years, on a new and exciting product that we hope to launch in 2021!

The Old Souls café Publishing™

The Old Souls Café Publishing™ imprint publishes my original works.  Our first release, Remember Rudy, was published in 2019.  A copy was purchased on behalf of the Jack Russell Terrier Museum and Crawford Library in Maryland, to be included in the museum’s artifacts.  The Spanish translation, Recuerda a Rudy, was published in January 2020.  A second children’s book, Twin Tails, is in the works with an anticipated publication date in 2021.  There are four more books, which are not children’s books, in various stages of completion.
